Harvest moon is on my mind, as the sparse offerings of our garden have been eradicated by some creature who wanted peppers and tomatoes for late night feasts.

Since late spring, my resident farmer has been carefully cultivating, nurturing, watering and waiting.   But now, just as the fruits of such labor were NEARLY ready for the picking…some rogue bandit has been negotiating the wire enclosure and nibbling on a feast.  There may be lessons in all this.  But lessons are not as tasty as the dream of salad days.
